Clarkson Valley became a fourth class city in 1989. Today's population is 2,632 according to the 2010 Census.  City Hall is located on the first floor of the Clarkson Executive Center (formerly known as Fru-Con), Suite 105, located at the intersection of Clarkson and Clayton Roads.  

Clarkson Valley is a residential community comprised of thirteen subdivisions. Located within the City are:  Crestview Middle School; Marquette High School; First Church of Christian Scientist; Mercy Medical and Physicians Office Building and Forest Hills Country Club.
